foster to adopt

I went to the shelter today and got a new buddy! Her name is Bela, at least that's the name they've given her and I think I'll leave it in honor of Bela Fleck the banjo player.

She's still in the hide behind things mode, so at the edges of the picture you see parts of shelves and boxes. She lets me pet her when I reach in her hidey hole, so I think we'll do fine. The dog is a little worried, and kept a close eye on her at first. With any luck, we'll all be hanging out by the woodstove together soon.

oh, she is so regal looking! I hope you and the dog and cat all get along!
Hopefully the cat won't need to work for her keep but in case she does, I hope she does it well!!!
(Yesdderay the cat left three excellent sized mice on our front walk! She too was a tabby, much like yours!)
Cheers, Denise

Awww Tugger you sound like a wonderful fellow...are you really a dog? I heard a rumor 'bout that.

I had a little scare with the Hooper dog last night, she freaked when there were too many people and me in one room. I'm determined to get over it, and your note helped, thanks, Bela (aka Biscuit)

uummmm Bela(aka Biscuit)this is your Auntie Cyn, Tug's Mom I'm a wee bit concerned about this aka...while your Mom has a wicked sense of humor, Biscuit? when you're trying to get along with the Princess Hooper? sure hope she doesn't get confused! You just hang in there, you've found one of the best kinds of homes...one that's full of love, and scritches....bet there's some good treats too! and don't tell Tug he's a d-o-g...he doesn't know it, he thinks he's just a sweet boy! oh and yarn is for knitting....not kitty chewing.

This cat looks like she can handle the dog. Dogs are chickens! I have four of them who like to chase the cat but not if the cat turns around to look at them - then they turn tail!

Bela is gorgeous. Bless your heart for adopting her! One of my kitties is a rescue kitty and she is loving, and greateful for her life with me and my boycat Ronnie (who thinks it is his RIGHT to be king of the household).
