I've joined the
Bead Journal Project for 2008/2009...I'll be making 12 cuff bracelets, one for each month of the project. Here's September, nearly finished except for fabric to cover the back and two loops to go with the buttons as a clasp.

Size 15 beads for detail, wool felt cloth (to be backed with cotton for comfort) and mother of pearl buttons. I wasn't able to capture the energy of a chickadee, but they're pretty lively little birds!

This is a beautiful piece. I wish I had thought of a cuff a month. Your beading is beautifully done and I love your chickadee. They are one of my favorite birds that visit my feeders everyday.
Awwwh, is my first impression. Very sweet. Reminds me of the peace doves with the branches in their mouth. Very nice and lots of work!
You are so clever, gf. I never thought of doing a picture on a cuff. Cool idea!

I knew I was going to love your project!
It's a great idea to make something wearable and I love the subject.
Beautiful, beautiful little chickadee! :-)
Great idea doing cuffs and I love the chickadee - I think you captured it really well!
Oh my! Thank you all for your kind comments, it was a lousy day today and you brightened it right up.
I am excited to do a cuff a month, I just didn't know what I would do with 12 squares, which was my other thought for the bjp.
Love the chickadee - great work!

What a beautiful cuff bracelet! I love your chickadee - what a great rendering and idea.
I'm also creating cuff bracelets for this year's BJP to do something different from the 4" by 4" squares I made last year. I've yet to start mine and need to get going with that. Thanks for the inspiration!
