Again with the sweater?

I started it about 6 jobs, 4+ moves, 2 boyfriends (one a fiance), 3 cars, 1 boat, 2 states, 2 countries, the turn 1 century and the deaths of 2 parents ago, it is time to finish the damn thing!

So I tore out the restarted sleeve so I can do the increases in stripes like on the sides of the body. I'm going to have to cut off the bottom of the hem to reknit it in a smaller gauge so it doesn't curl so much. I am actually feeling good about finishing in the next month or so because my knitting skills are way beyond the start of the sweater from the past. ...add to the time line list up there about 10 pairs of fancy mittens 6 or 7 hats and a couple more unfinished other sweaters.

I bet you are successful this time. I have a quilt top that is about that old that needs some attention from me. My Grandma keeps asking me if it is done...I started it back in 1989! There are adults younger than that quilt top

Whoa! Both on the sweater and its history. It's amazing! (my catcha is "bleral," I think that's how I feel, lol!)

I'd love to be able to knit like that!

Just make sure you spin it out over another few decades, then the sweater will have even more cool stories to tell.

OT: Just remember, YOU did ask! http://alaskandavedownunder.blogspot.com/2009/10/fried-earthworms.html

If I never finish the sweater it will keep accumulating stories, true. There is a back up sweater that I started last summer so the stories won't get lost if I actually finish the black and white one. Oh wait I meant WHEN I actually finish it, sheesh.

Yummy worms. I think we have real bacon at the meaty store.

Wow, what great work you do. I think everyone has those projects that get pushed aside. I have a quilt that I started 8 years ago, and every year I say I'm going to get it done.

I've been mentally redesigning the sleeve so it's not too baggy at the top. Dog walks are great for design work, now if she'd just knit for me!
