Here it is! The sun came out so I could get a picture of my new home to share with you all. One of the 3 bedrooms is there on the right behind the lilac tree/bush. The dining room part of the open kitchen area is on the left and the living room is there to the left of the lilac. My camera has decided not to change lens lengths so I can't go wide angle to show you the wood shed further to the left. 3 cords of wood are coming soon...oh my aching shoulders!
See those mountains? That's one of the major reasons I moved here...my view of them is small, but they surround this town with all sorts of mountainous glory and wildness. It soothes my soul to know they're there.
My kitchen complete with dog bowls and lovely new appliances! The dog says she's not so sure about the placement of the great big swirly glass window thingy right by her bowls, maybe I could give her a piece of 'real' art like the Mona Lisa instead. Picky picky.
Beads and crafts will be found here eventually...right after I get those shelves set up and those boxes unpacked and start my job down to the market. The whole thing was further along yesterday, but I switched rooms...the small bedroom is too small for all my stuff! Oh, yes that one wall is VERY purple. We're talking bruised grape purple...the former owner was way into accent walls. Purple, dark blue, dark sage and really bad pantyhose are the accent colors. I don't feel like painting just yet, but you can bet pantyhose and bruised grape will be going away before too long.

The woodshed. Soon to be filled with 3 cords of firewood...I hope it's enough for the winter! There are alternatives, I won't die if I run out in the middle of winter (that would be a heck of a lot of wood burning), but I want to be prepared and don't want to get forced into buying a bunch of heating oil midwinter.

Beautiful! The firewood is making MY arms ache. Any teens nearby need some $ if you run out of time? And, a job already! WOW.
It's the end of the summer and the college kids are leaving jobs to go back to school...perfect timing for an old lady like me!
I forgot to answer in your email: the wood will be split, but I'll probably have to use an axe to make it smaller for my little stove.
I love it! Looks like a beautiful home and the views are wonderful!
Your vacuum cleaner is a perfect match to the walls...teeheehee.
I can't wait to see more pics!
Oh what a beautiful home for a fishie. Gorgeous area and looks like lots of light in the house! I hope you post pics not just as you paint but as you set up your rooms. :)
It's just beautiful, Kelly. How wonderful for you to be able to enjoy all the gorgeous scenery.
I could probably deal with the bruised grape, but the pantyhose color would have to go for sure.

Yeah...the vacuum cleaner is pretty pleased with the purple wall, hehe! The bruised grape makes that room pretty dark, but I'd rather set up my art stuff than paint. I'm kind of a light wall that accent what's in them type rather than have the walls do all the work.
Love your new home Kelly - It all looks great, even with purple walls LOL How big is your yard?
I love it! thanks for sharing, it's nice to know whwhere you live. Glad you're back online, too!
I have about 1/3 of an acre, but a good portion is covered with the shrubs that re-grow so fast if you don't keep them knocked down!
blessings on your new home--it looks fabulous!
Hey Kelly! What a beautiful home! You can see the mountains! You won't be looking at the purple walls, you'll be staring at the mountains and stacking wood!
Good on the job, it'll bring you into the community that must faster!!
Cheers, Denise
The house is so cute. A little "peace" of heaven!!! I love your kitchen, nice and open. Congrats!!!
Thanks for all the wonderful comments, I'm really enjoying the new house. Have stopped doing battle with the woodstove and now am practicing the "don't poke at it" method of fire building, hehehee!
Oh, it is BEAUTIFUL!! Congratulations! I wish you every happiness in that lovely home. I'm so happy to see your beautiful glass bead picture all ready to be hung somewhere. J xx
Your new home is beautiful! I am sure you will be happy here for a very, very long time...
