values quilt
No, not family values or morals type values but color type values. Lights and darks. I found a tutorial here and decided it might just help gnat brain to focus. Lots of small steps and quick results.

Cool! It would be hard for me to pick fabrics based solely on value - I'd be looking at color, pattern, etc - and agonize myself into never finishing.
I'm trying really hard not to choose based on what I like. It's also really hard not to compare back to the example!
Kewl. I do like the second picture with all the darks & lights blending together to create such a rich visual texture.
